This seminar (in German) was two-folded. The first class provided an introduction into visual ethnography with particular interest in photography in theory and ethnographic research. We read ‘classics’ in this field and about main historical and technical developments. The outcome of this class was the conceptualization of student projects to develop and conduct in the course of the second class.
For this class we were very fortunate to cooperate with the Heidelberg Kunstverein that provided us with the opportunity to create a small exhibition and opening session to present the students’ projects.
