This workshop was conceptualized for MA and Phd students at the Locating Media College at Siegen University in May 2015.
This one-day workshop focused on visual empirical data and their importance in scientific texts. With the aim to enage with multimedia platforms such as HyperImage and Atomic Wiki / Open Source, participants experiemented with alternatives forms of image-based academic writing. During the workshop, the group discussed and tested opportunities and challenges of formats such as visual or photo essay in their respective scientific context.
