Workshops

The poject Contemporary photography as a cultural practice by diasporic Iranians in Europe” organizes a workshop series. Each of the workshops is particularly meant to bring together practitioners from various fields in the art and photography, museum institutions, non-profit organizations and activists, as well as an interdisciplinary group of junior and senior scholars who deal with photography and art, visual cultures, online research, or performance. Along experimental and collaborative formats the discussions seek to establish new formats of research and writing about visual cultures and to locate them at the intersection of multi-media and multi-modal anthropology. Hereby it is of specific interest to invite members of institutions outside the university and to create new coalitions and trans-university and inter-institutional collaborations such as research-based and co-teaching formats, joint ventures of public talks and publications, guided exhibition tours or new project applications.
